Michelle Liles

Michelle Liles, has merged her love of publishing, adventure and wildlife photography as the publisher of The Wild Lens Magazine, now in its fourth year. She enjoys publishing the magnificent photos of talented and esteemed photographers. Ms. Liles has been to all seven continents which includes: navigating the Drake Passage on a 54-foot sailboat, hiking the high elevation of the Himalayas in search of the elusive snow leopard and scaling the cliffs of Singala National Park, India, tracking the scarce red panda. . Receiving her MBA in 2008, Michelle previously published both Broker Agent Magazine and Southern Nevada Equestrian Magazine. After a trip to Africa in 2005 with borrowed Canon camera gear, she fell in love with the wildlife of our planet and decided to change her life and focus on  immortalizing moments in natural history.

Denise Peterson

Denise Peterson is the founder and director of Utah Mountain Lion Conservation. She studied Natural Resources Management, Wildlife Biology, and Geographic Information Systems  at Grand Valley State in Allendale, Michigan. She has worked on a wild felid study in the Peruvian Amazon tracking radio-collared ocelots and other wild cats in the area. Her work experience includes the Mountain Lion Foundation, Yellowstone to Uintas Connection, and Voices of Wildlife. She's passionate about mountain lions and their continued existence wherever they are found. You can often find her in the mountains checking trail cams and tracking cats!


Avanka Fernando

Avanka Fernando is a professional in the field of Education in Sri Lanka. Wildlife photography is his  favorite hobby and he has been involved for the past 9-10 years. He was able to invest more time and commitment starting in 2016. Over the past years, he has traveled to many parts of the country, including national parks, wetlands & other places to capture the fascinating flora and fauna. His objective is to give a different experience of nature and wildlife to all his viewers through photography. He wants to create awareness to promote nature conservation.
Awards include second place in the Black & White category of the World Nature Photography Awards, first place in the Wildlife in the Garden category in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition and first place in The Wild Lens Magazine Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Macro category.


Ranjan Ramchandani

Ranjan is a Singapore based award winning photographer, author, focusing on travel and wildlife. He runs regular workshops around the globe at major wildlife destinations in Africa, India, Latin America and Sri Lanka, the Masai Mara in Kenya is a key focus. 
Prior to becoming the Olympus Visionary (Brand ambassador) in 2018, he was Canon's EOS world community ambassador based out of Singapore. Today, he has moved back to his trusted Canon systems.
His works have been exhibited in Germany, India, Singapore and Spain, including at the Foto Biennial of Fine Art and Documentary Photography, among others. His coffee table book- "Swades" (Ladakh - A land of splendour) published in 2010 by KW Publishers (India), showcases the beauty of Ladakh, India. He has also been published in various media including Outdoor Photographer, Sanctuary Asia and The Wild Lens. He is also an image contributor to the WWF.  
Ranjan has won many recognitions for his works over the years: Charles Dogson Black & White Awards, IPA (International Photography Awards), MIFA (Moscow International Foto Awards), One Eyeland Awards, Prix De La Photograhie Paris (PX3), The Monochrome Awards, The Pollux, TIFA (Tokyo International Foto Awards).

Chris Eckstrom

Chris Eckstrom is a writer and videographer. She is the author of Forgotten Edens, and as a staff writer she contributed to many books published by the National Geographic Society. She earned a Lowell Thomas Award for Best Magazine Article on Foreign Travel for her National Geographic Traveler story, “The Last Real Africa.” The editor of Into Africa, LIFE, Jungles, Penguin, Eye to Eye, and Okavango, she has also produced stories for the National Geographic Channel. Eckstrom and Lanting travel around the world for their fieldwork and collaborate on publishing projects from their home base in Santa Cruz, California.


Frans Lanting

Frans Lanting has been hailed as one of the great photographers of our time. His influential work appears in books, magazines, and exhibitions around the world and has been commissioned frequently by National Geographic, where he was a Photographer in Residence. Lanting’s books have received awards and acclaim: “No one turns animals into art more completely than Frans Lanting,” writes The New Yorker. His books include Bay of Life: From Wind to Whales, Into Africa, LIFE, Jungles, Penguin, Eye to Eye, Living Planet, Bonobo, Okavango, Forgotten Edens, and Madagascar: A World Out of Time.
Lanting has received numerous awards for his work as a photographer and conservationist, including top honors from World Press Photo, the Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Award, and the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year’s first Lifetime Achievement Award. He serves as an Ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund, on the Leadership Council of Conservation International, and on the International Board of WildAid. H.R.H. Prince Bernhard inducted him as a Knight in the Royal Order of the Golden Ark, the Netherlands’ highest conservation honor.


Ki Bowman

Ki Bowman, the founding art director and web editor of The Wild Lens Magazine, lives and works in Santa Cruz, CA. She has specialized in both print and digital media design for the past 35 years, but is particularly thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the beautiful imagery and thoughtful inspiration provided by The Wild Lens.
